CORNISH HEDGES AND DRYSTONE WALLS
Cornish hedges are the most prominent feature of the Cornish landscape, traditionally built with two stone faces and a compacted soil 'filling' (no cement or mortar!). A properly built stone wall should last a lifetime; the shape is important; a 'lighthouse' shaped stone wall is strong, sturdy, and when planted with plants and flowers, not only looks extremely pretty but will withstand all Cornish weathers. We primarily build these Cornish hedges as boundaries to gardens and fields, as well as features within gardens; they are extremely versatile and make an excellent traditional addition to any home or property.
MASONRY WORKS
Barn renovations, pointing and rendering (lime work or cement), building and restoration stonework, facing buildings, and freestanding granite and slate walls are just a few examples. All stone construction projects are taken into account.
